A little about me . . .
I’m a mom to 3 and wife to my wonderful hubby.
DD19, who recently moved out on her own. Okay, so she only moved down the street, but still, she’s paying her own bills and decorating her own place.
DS12 is in 8th grade, and will be attending his last year of middle school this year. He is doing great, honor roll, lots of friends and playing soccer in every spare moment.
DS10 just finished the 4th grade and will be homeschooled this coming year. Nick has a variety of medical issues, including migraines and cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS). The medicine he takes make him react badly to heat.
DS10’s got serious aversions to loud noise, and will cover his ears if somebody yells near him. He gets nauseated easily by strong smells. Nick will also get nauseous if he gets to hot for an extended period. He’s woken in the middle of the night sick to his stomach because he was wrapped up in his blankets and got too hot.
In addition to the medical issues, he was tested in 1st grade, and is gifted. He has absolutely NO tolerance for repetition or drill-style work. It should make homeschooling interesting, don’t you think? And to make it even MORE interesting, he’s finished 5th grade math, and some 6th grade. He reads on an 8th grade level, and word study? He reads the dictionary for FUN.
